Our Process is Simple

We are situated on almost 100 acres of hardwood forest and in early spring, with snow still on the ground, we tap our maple tree stand to collect sap. Once tapped, the sap straight from the trees flows into tanks at our sugar house, and then into our evaporator. The evaporator (star of the show) boils off excess water, concentrating the sap into syrup. The high-quality syrup is filtered and bottled shortly after coming off of the evaporator.

We boil throughout the spring as long as the weather allows.

In the spring of 2022, we embarked on a shared adventure, tapping into the rich tradition of maple syrup production and transforming it into a small business. What started as a simple hobby evolved into a passion-driven pursuit, as we discovered the artistry and craftsmanship involved in producing our syrup. Over the years, our commitment to quality and dedication to the craft have propelled us forward, leading to the expansion and scaling of our modest endeavor.

About Maple Syrup Grades

What many people may not be aware of is that maple syrup comes in different grades, each offering a unique flavor profile. No grade is better than the other, it really depends on what type of syrup you enjoy.

  • Grade A Golden, Delicate Taste

    Also known as "Fancy" in some regions, Grade A Golden Delicate Taste maple syrup is the lightest in color and boasts a mild, delicate flavor. Extracted early in the sugaring season, this syrup is prized for its subtle sweetness and smooth texture. Ideal for drizzling over pancakes, waffles, or yogurt, Grade A Golden Delicate Taste maple syrup adds a touch of sweetness without overpowering other flavors.

  • Grade A Amber Rich Taste

    Deeper amber hue and a more pronounced, caramelized flavor. With a balance of sweetness and complexity, this grade is often favored for use as a topping for desserts, glazes for meats, or a sweetener in beverages. Its versatility makes it a popular choice in both sweet and savory dishes.

  • Grade A Dark Robust Taste

    As the sugaring season progresses, the maple syrup takes on a darker color and a more robust flavor. Grade A Dark Robust Taste maple syrup has a strong, hearty taste with notes of toffee and molasses. This grade is well-suited for baking, cooking, and marinating, as its bold flavor can stand up to the intensity of other ingredients. Consider using it in barbecue sauces, marinades, or as a glaze for roasted vegetables.

  • Grade A Very Dark Strong Taste

    The darkest and most robust of all the grades, Grade A Very Dark Strong Taste maple syrup is harvested late in the sugaring season, resulting in an intense flavor profile reminiscent of deep caramel. This syrup is often preferred by those who enjoy a bold and distinctive maple flavor. It pairs well with strong cheeses, adds depth to coffee or cocktails, and can be used as a substitute for other sweeteners in recipes that benefit from a rich, complex taste.
